This book, more specifically talks about the safest and best way to manage and install electrical systems in the City of Los Angeles, 2017. Chapter 3 is about wiring methods and materials and goes into general requirements, requirements for over 1000 volts, conductors for general wiring, construction specifications, cabinets, cutout boxes, and meter socket enclosures (including scope and installation and specifications), outlet, device, pull and junction boxes; conduit bodies; fittings; and hand-hole enclosures. Chapter 3 also goes over armored cable: type AC, flat cable assemblies: type FC, and flat conductor cable: type FCC. It mentions surface metal raceways, surface nonmetallic raceways, underfloor raceways, cable trays, low-voltage suspended ceiling power distribution systems, concealed knob-and-tube wiring, messenger supported wiring, open wiring on insulators and outdoor overhead conductors over 1000 volts. Chapter 4 is about equipment for general use. It talks about flexible cords and cables, fixture wires, switches, receptacles, cord connectors, and attachment plugs (caps), switchboards, switch gear, panel boards and industrial control panels.
