About the publisher: American Technical Publishers (ATP) was first founded in 1898 under the name American Technical Society (ATS). It was founded by R. T. Miller, Jr. as a publishing company that specialized in instructional material for the American School of Correspondence. The School of Correspondence was also founded by R. T. Miller a year earlier. The idea and basis behind the founding was a belief that all Americans should have the opportunity to grow in their careers. After the WWII the shift focused from training material for home studying to providing material for industrial workers. From there the company continued to broaden their products and product range while also pinpointing and refocusing their mission. Now they are reorganized as the ATP Group, Inc and continue to produce material and training manuals for industrial markets and apprenticeships. Today the company is grouped into two different divisions which are American Technical Publishers and ATP Learning Solutions. They provide a wide variety of training books in standard paperback, Ebook, and CD format.
