New Sixth Edition of the Florida Fire Prevention Code is released

Includes 2015 NFPA 1 Uniform Fire Code and 2015 NFPA 101 Life Safety Code

Vista, CA., Nov. 15, 2017 – BNi Building News has announced that the Florida Fire Prevention Code, Sixth Edition has been released and published.  The code was created in conjunction with the NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and covers methods, standards, and codes associated with fire prevention for the state of Florida.

“We feel privileged to be apart of publishing the Florida Fire Prevention Code,” says John Moore, Senior Vice President and General Manager of BNi Building News. “Safety in any form is extremely important to comply with and we are honored to be apart of distributing such an important code.”

Included in this edition are the entire texts of the 2015 NFPA 1 Uniform Fire Code and the 2015 NFPA 101 Life Safety Code.  The text clearly features and identifies all the State of Florida changes with an FL in the margin.  It is an essential resource for architects, engineers, building owners, fire marshals, and all involved with hazardous materials in Florida.

The code is enforced in each county, municipality, and district in the state.  It is adopted by the State Fire Marshal every three years.  The sixth edition was preceded by the fifth edition, which was released in 2014.  Until its release in November, the text is available for a special pre-order price.
