About BNi Data Manager
BNi Data Manager is an internal measurement service being prepared by BNi Building News to improve the accuracy of Google Ads purchase reporting.
How it works
Once activated, and only when permitted by the customer's privacy choices, BNi Data Manager will send limited purchase-event data from BNi's Shopify store to Google Ads. Customer identifiers are normalized and SHA-256 hashed before transmission. The service is used for advertising measurement and campaign optimization; it does not provide a customer-facing login or product.
Data and consent
Purchase events will be sent only when the applicable ad-user-data consent signal permits it. BNi uses transaction IDs to prevent duplicate purchase reporting and limits the service to the data needed for measurement.
